First of all, I’d like to thank everyone who auditioned. If you were not cast, we hope that you will choose to be a part of the production backstage. We will be having a short meeting after school on Wednesday for anyone who wants to be a part of the crew. I also will be taking two director’s assistants to help me with the production. Please know that we still have a lot of opportunities to get involved (crew, the festivals, the spring musical, and Murder Mystery Night).
Congratulations to everyone who was cast! I am really excited to start working on Auntie Mame! We will need the entire cast this week, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 3:15-5:15. There will be no rehearsal on Thursday. You will receive your scripts at our first rehearsal on Tuesday.
Thanks again to everyone who auditioned. I was really blown away by all of the talent that I saw this week.
Performance Dates: November 13-17, 2018
Mame Dennis, a progressive and independent woman of the 1920s, is left to care for her nephew Patrick after his wealthy father dies. Mr. Babcock, Patrick's assigned executor, objects to Mame's unconventional way of living and tries to force her to send Patrick to prep school. As Mame and Patrick grow closer, Mr. Babcock tries to discipline Patrick and threatens to separate the two if Mame does not comply with his wishes. Meet the many wonderful characters that come into the lives of Mame and Patrick in this tremendously enjoyable and heartfelt comedy.
